Kansas City Area Founders' Day Celebration

Sorors across Kansas City are welcome to celebrate the 113th Anniversary of our wonderful sisterhood at the Kansas City Area Founders' Day Celebration.  Beta Omega Chapter is the host of the 2021 event.

As we celebrate 113 years of sisterhood and supreme service to all mankind, Beta Omega, Rho Alpha and Rho Iota Chapters are honored to host our first virtual Greater Kansas City Founders’ Day Celebration. We are excited to extend this invitation to you to be a part of history in the making. The celebration will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

The theme for this year’s Founders’ Day is Celebrating Excellence in Leadership and Service.

We are honored to have as our keynote speaker, our 29th Supreme Basileus, Soror Dorothy Buchanan Wilson. Soror Buchanan Wilson exemplifies excellence in leadership and service. She is a life member with over 40 years of committed service to our beloved sisterhood. Soror Buchanan Wilson has served as chapter basileus, Central Regional Cluster Coordinator and Central Regional Director on the local and regional level, as well as Supreme Grammateus and First Supreme Anti-Basileus on the international level. She is a long- time corporate executive in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors with organizations such as Xerox, SC Johnson Wax, and Goodwill Industries. Soror Buchanan Wilson holds an MBA degree from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. She also received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Benedict College in 2015.

We are looking forward to celebrating with you on February 6, 2021. Below is the registration form, soror and chapter details and responsibilities, community service details and online registration instructions. Your completed registration form with the appropriate fees for the Founders’ Day Celebration must be postmarked on or before Saturday, January 30th, 2021.

Again, Beta Omega, Rho Alpha and Rho Iota Chapters are honored to serve our Greater Kansas City sorors as hosts for this exciting virtual Founders’ Day as we Celebrate Excellence in Leadership and Service.

COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITY

EAF HBCU DONATION CONTEST- IT’S OUR HERITAGE-SUPPORT OUR HBCUs

Sorors will be asked to donate $19.08 or more to EAF on behalf of their favorite HBCU or HBCUs in general. The most donations by an Undergraduate Chapter, Graduate Chapter and General Member will be the winner with Mid-Western bragging rights. All donations will go towards Sorors’ year end EAF contributions.
